don't sound as if such a patch would be accepted. Why should I then care. Other mail \
clients do as I wish and yes, I have switched.

I know, but it was suggested to me to convert the folders to maildir to prevent the \
non-compaction bug. If I had, moving to another Mailer would have been a bit more \
complicated.
