Summary: non portable plugin loading implementation
           Product: quanta
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Cygwin
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amantia@freemail.hu
        ReportedBy: ralf.habacker@freenet.de

Version: 3.2-cvs head (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Cygwin

quanta 3.x uses an nonportable plugin loading function by using directly the name of \
the shared library (.so extension), which does not work under windows (cygwin/xfree). \

Additional it stores the name of the shared library in a data file (data/plugin.rc), \
which causes data file patching or similar to get this running.

My proposal is to use libtool's platform independent lt_dlopen() or similar call to \
load a plugin like kdelibs does.
