Trying to compile kdebase HEAD (as of 10 Oct 2003) on Solaris 8 (Sparc) fails with

This is due to the fact that Solaris 8 (and probably earlier versions) lacks the prototyopes for the various DPMS* functions in <X11/extensions/dpms.h>. However, they are present in Solaris 9

I'll try to provide a patch for this issue this afternoon...
