The short discription sounds complicated - but its quite simple :-) Example: ======= configure an email-smtp-server "a", don't press anything (no "ok", "apply" or "cancel") but switch back to the Identities option and configure a new identity "X" with Advanced->Special Transport -> "a". Again, don't press anything but switch back to Network->Sending and delete "a" and enter a new sending server "b" Now press "ok" and leave the config dialog. You have setup an identity with the illegal special transport "a" causing some trouble ;-) I think when changing a config option all other options have to be rechecked for validity. BTW: KMail acts not like KControl during configuration: In KControl you have to apply every change before entering another config dialog. KMail has a "magic" apply. Bye Thorsten Schnebeck
