Hi,
the completion is already quite tricky, it lists large directories in batches,
controlled by timers, so can (or should be able) to keep on typing.
A delay of 500ms is not going to help -- it will only feel sluggish then.
Previous versions of mozilla did that and it was aweful.
You could disable the completion by right-clicking on the combo or you could
have a look if setting the environment variable KURLCOMPLETION_LOCAL_KIO to 1
improves the situation for you.
