The startup sounds are independent of ksplash. It would be very difficult to synchronize them 
since it depends on various factors such as CPU speed, soundcard latency, etc., and doing 
so will probably slow down the ksplash startup time and hence that of KDE. I will not add to 
the configuration bloat either.
