Summary: Usability: Multiple notifications when cannot change
                    file permissions
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: robjo442@student.liu.se

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc-3.3 Configured with: ../gcc-3.3/configure \
                --enable-languages=c,c++,java
OS: Linux

This is not a bug, but it concerns usability.

When copying multiple files to a filesystem which does not support unix permissions \
(such as vfat), konqueror pops a information dialog for EVERY file saying that the \
permissions could not be changed. This is annoying if many files or direcories were \
copied, sine one has to press "OK" each time to copy the next file.

A better solution would be to present a listing of all the files whose permissions \
could not be set, alternatively just pop one dialog saying that none of the file \
permissions could be preserved. (Since all files were copied to a non unix permission \
filesystem).

Thanks for an excellent desktop environment!
