to make this work, a well-known, reliable and complete repository of style binaries 
would need to be available. i don't see this happening any time soon. my suggestion is 
to simply look for binary packages for your system on places like kde-look.org and 
install them with your distribution-supplied software installer tools. there is very little (to 
nothing) KDE itself can do about this.
