Version:           kwrite 4.1 / kate 2.1 using kde 3.1.2 (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from:    Debian stable Packages
OS:          Linux

1. write some spaces (about 10)
2. next write some text afterwards
3. mark the spaces before the text
4. press tab to replace the word (here the spaces) with some diffrent
content
5. the spaces aren't replaced by 1x tab ;P

same with some text
1. write word "isthisabug?"
2. select "isthisa" with the cursors and shift or with the mouse
3. then press tab
-> you notice the word is moved 1 right instead of beeing replaces by tab
-> also the selection is moved one left, so now you select "\tabisthis"
4. hitting again tab you select "\tab\tabisthi" and so on.
