(X)Emacs has a nice way to handle this: It saves the master document in a comment 
line. For Kile this could be: 
 
% KILE-MASTER blabla.tex 
 
Would it be possible, whenever a file is opened, look for such a comment line (or 
expect it on a certain place, lets say the first or last line of a file, and set the master file 
to this file if it is found?
