I tested Thiago Macieira's test source.

OK: g++ a.cpp 
OK: g++ -pedantic a.cpp 
OK: g++ -O a.cpp 
NG: g++ -pedantic -O a.cpp 
 
Maybe it's gcc's bug. 
I'll report this to gcc.
