OK, dfaure asked me to post this, so here I go...

Kivio should have a docking window for the currently selected stencil set (or several of them in tab pages?). That would be much more intuitive than selecting from the toolbar as it is now, as it would make it possible to show the stencils and even provide some help text. Visio itself does this almost right (the help texts there leave a lot to be desired).
