I can confirm this bug and I just figured out how to reproduce it: 
 
1) Open fresh browser window and go to http://heise.de Its important to use 
heise.de, since it only happens on some sites. 
2) Close window 
3) Open browser again. The gap is there and will you cannot get rid of 
it by closing the window. 
 
To get rid of it: 
 
1) Open a second Konqueror window (There will be no gap) 
2) Close the one with the gap. 
3) Close to one without the gap. 
 
Now everything is back to normal.
