patch for KDE-3.1.2

Thanks for the feedback Charles and Jarne. I have created a patch for this, but
unfortunately, the volume button doesn't work as expected. I would like the
button to toggle the slider on and off, but pressing the volume button always
pops up the slider again. Anyone with a suggestion on how to accomplish this
using Qt-3.1.2?
