Define hostname/IP for File Transfers
First of all, I'd like to say, that Kopete is the
greatest MSN client for Linux that i've tried :)
But there is still one thing that I really need...
Many people are unable to send files with MSN(Kopete,
Gaim, Windows Messenger, and many more) because of the
nature of their internet connection. I for example can't.
AMSN is the only MSN client that I know of that I am
able to send files with. Because it offers a few
options for getting your IP for File Transfers. There
is an option to automatically get the IP by using http.
This would ofcourse be the most conveniant option, but
it didn't work in my case(don't know why), but maybe
you could implement a working copy of it. Then there's
the option to manually define a hostname/ip. I have an
IP that changes from time to time, but I have a dynamic
hostname(dyndns.org) which I can define in AMSN, so I
never have to touch the setting again. I think this is
a really important feature!
BTW, I have already posted this on the Sourceforge Projectpage, but copied it here \
because I didn't get a response :P
