Summary: Incorrect key-release behavior of animated logo button
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: datschge@gmx.de
Version: 3.1.0-1.cvs20030310.1ark (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux
OS: Linux
This is a bug related to the consistency of UI elements used in KDE apps thus \
critically affecting usability.
The animated gear log on the right in konqueror's toolbar is actually a pressable \
button, spawing a duplication of the current window. Problem: Unlike with nearly all \
other KDE buttons you can't undo pressing this button. Normally an action is executed \
when a key/mousebutton is released within the pressed button. With this animated logo \
button thingy however you will always get the action (spawing a duplication of the \
current window) executed even when the pointer is far away from the formerly pressed \
button. This is a very Bad Thing and needs to be corrected.
