Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Compiler:          gcc 3.2 
OS:          Linux

Right click a desktop icon
Select "Properties"
Click on the icon button like you are going to change the icon
Either select a new icon or hit cancel
Click on the icon button again

From this point on the icon selection popup disappears almost immediately \
every time its clicked

Closing the "Properties" window and starting over fixes the problem, until \
you try it all again...
