------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54252 Summary: missing network detection system Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Mandrake RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org ReportedBy: daniele@dcs.it Version: 1.5 (kdenetwork-3.1) (using KDE KDE 3.1) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux I'm using a dial-up connection. If I try to send or get messages when disconnected I (naturally) get a message saying that the host is unreachable. Now, if I connect to Internet and then issue the command again, I get the same message. If I close and restart kmail, nothing changes, it will keep complaining that the network is unreachable. To be able to get/send email again, I have to close and restart X. So, it seems as if the information about a host being unreachable get stored somewhere, and the information is erased when closing X (or DCOP, I guess), while it would be better if the program searched for the host anytime I ask it to.
