Summary: double selection on mouse double click causes problems
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: bernd.pol@online.de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

With mouse set for select on double click konquerer 3.1 and other konqueror-based \
apps (like SuSE help system) show faulty double action on item double click selects.

The selected item might be changed on second part of double click. It seems that \
state information of former selections will overwrite the new selected item state, \
e.g.

- in konqueror selection and then deleting an object to trash did re-define the \
desktop directory to behave as trashcan. All deleted output will be sent there, while \
the original trashcan will be ignored.

*** I CAN'T GET RID OF THAT EXTRA TRASHCAN DIRECTORY EVEN AFTER HAVING SETUP \
"Desktop" ANEW! ***

- in SuSE help the subtree of the former selection was copied (linked) as subtree to \
the following double.clicked selection (KDE FAQ now is also a subdirectory to "Die \
Arbeitsfläche").

No such problems occur as yet with mouse set to single click select.
