I think having a "Save session" button in the KMenu is a bad idea, and I preferred the old
KDE 3.0 way, which had a tickbox to "save session". (If this was translated into language
that non-computer people could understand, it would be perfect: see bug 16403).

The new version, as I understand it, is a feature introduced so that people can save
sessions without logging out.

That is great for power users, but

1) It clutters up the KMenu with an option that most people only want when they log out,
and that non-computer people will not understand.

2) It doesn't prompt users to "save session" on logout.

I think, if you want to satisfy the power users, you should put this option in the kcm for
ksmserver, and let people save and restore any number of sessions, as well as choosing
which is the default session to login with. Remove the KMenu button, and restore the
"save session" option on logout. In this way, normal users will be catered for better.
