OK, I'll try 1) I created a new filter 2) I marked lets say 5 out of 20 messages where I know the filter would apply for all the selected messages lets say message 1,2,5,6,7 3) clicked apply filter 4) now the old message 3 and 8 have been highligthed, IMHO only ONE message should be the highligthed and it must be visible.
