Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Component: khtml
AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: tr@erdfunkstelle.de

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19
I have found some very similar bug reports at bugs.kde.org, some are stated as \
closed/fixed. but if i'm not totally mistaken this bug still exists. I hope i can \
give you useful information how to reproduce it.
The easiest way to see this bug is, go on bugs.kde.org and try to file a new bug \
report (damn, really!) Use "Luxi Sans" as font in konqueror to view the pages, maybe \
you have to have font aliasing enabled. You will notice that all select (dropdown?) \
boxes show up square/box characters instead of spaces (everwhere where &npsp; has \
been used).
Changing the font in konqueror fixes the problem, so what i guess is this: \
renders to a character that is not existing in some fonts. but the heck, shouldn't \
simply become a space character? it seems konqueror makes a difference between \
space and .
A sample code:
<select>
<option>hello world</option>
</select>
I attach a screenshot of how this sample code renders when using Luxi Sans as font \
(BTW, i have font aliasing enabled)
I hope my supplied information is sufficient, otherwise please contact me!
Bye and happy coding :)
