Summary: opening a new konqueror window after opening a konsole
"freezes" konqueror until konsole is closed
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: mario.scalas@libero.it

Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: Gentoo gcc-3.2.1 -march=pentium3 -O2 -pipe
OS: Linux

Here what to do (it is systematic for me):

1) open a konqueror window on a local filesystem (for example $HOME)
2) open a konsole from konqueror menu (I use a toolbar button shortcut)
3) now open another konqueror from the button on the Panel

this last window will never show and application start feedback will silently \
terminate by time-out: no segfault, no log on console, no abnormal cpu use ... If i \
type "konqueror" on the terminal, it will open (and close) without a glitch! Finally, \
closing the konsole will make magically appear the konqueror window requested on step \
3. That is, if (on step 3) I press 5 times on the konqueror Panel button and receive \
anyhing else than launching feedback, by closing the konsole, I'm going to have 5 \
konqueror windows at once! _______________________________________________
