Summary: kicker panel disappears while kppp is connected
           Product: kicker
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: RedHat RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: jfirebaugh@kde.org
        ReportedBy: emgrasso@data-raptors.com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

I think I'm still seeing similar symptoms to those described in 41035. I've seen \
these with the current versions of KDE distributed with RedHat 7.3 and 8.0, plus \
latest RedHat updates.

When kppp connects, the panel disappears. Everything else works fine except figuring \
out how to launch some apps (especially Konsole) without the settings in the kicker \
panel thingies is a bitch. (Docs on how to add Windows style shortcuts to the \
desktop might be in order if this behavior can't be cleaned up.)

The panel comes back when kppp is closed, and pops up a message about being unable to \
open kppp or pppd, even though the app in question was running fine for hours.
