No. I already found out that it is not an external editor problem.

Only later in the usenet (!) article. The internal editor still shows
the last line after I close the external editor.

The internal editor shows the text including the last line.
The cursor is at the last line at column 8 (starting with 0).
I cannot go below this line using the "arrow down" key.

Yes, I get the same problem here. After I have sent this article,
the "Sent" folder shows the correct posting. No problem 'til here.
But the usenet (!) article misses the last line. Maybe this is a
leafnode problem? But I did *not* have this problem until I upgraded
to KNode 0.7.1. I did *not* change leafnode.
