I figured out a workaround: I logged out, switched to a console, edited flags in \
$KDEHOME/share/config/session/kwin_$, et voila, my gkrellms stick on the right side \
without cluttering taskbar and pager. Now, my desktop looks much cleaner ;-) I'm not \
sure, if this method is acceptable for everybody, but for me, it's fine. As the \
problem is so easy to reproduce, I really hope, somebody more familiar with \
kwin/kstart will look into it some day. I suspect a logical problem or a race \
condition in kwin. Last note: when running gkrellm without --skiptaskbar from a \
shell, it is drawn on pos 0 0, and moved to the requested (-g) or restored position. \
Under session mgmt, gkrellm appears directly at the proposed position. I cannot \
imagine, that gdk is the bad guy here.
