Summary: kmenubar uses different colours for menus and background
on style change
Product: kdelibs
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: kstyle
AssignedTo: gallium@kde.org
ReportedBy: william.stephenson@ncl.ac.uk
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 3.2
OS: Linux
similar to #49168After changing styles from a pixmapped/blended style to a flat \
style, it becomes apparent that the menu items on a kmenubar, and the kmenubar \
background itself, are getting their bg colours from different sources. To \
reproduce:Set Style to Keramik or Highcolour default. Set Colour to Keramik or \
Keramik White (not Keramik Emerald, not enough contrast). Apply changes. Now change \
the style to Light v3 or KDE Default. Observe the difference in shades on all \
kmenubars. What's interesting is that this only affects apps which were running at the \
time of the style change. If you open a new app, and change colours to one of the \
two above, you'll see that the menubar stays consistent. I reckon that the app is \
getting one set of colour sources on startup, which is changed on style change, but \
the change is not reflexive.HTHWill
