Its a handy feature that I dont think is available in any OS or window manager 
right now. There are very many uses for it. One, for example, could be 
copying title-bar to clipboard from the right-click menu on the task bar, 
from a minimized K-mail message window, which would give you the Subject of 
of the message without having to open the window itself.

I had another use for it at some point (submitted this idea long time ago), 
but I already dont remember what the original purpose was.

In short, this was something I needed at one time that was not available as a 
feature in KDE, and I didnt see why it couldn't be done.
