yes, this is known. It's because the NETWM reserved space directives are for 
the whole desktop, not per-screen. As a workaround, you can set kicker to any 
sort of autohide mode (hide to background works nicely) and it won't reserve 
any space on either screen.  
 
It'll probably get fixed eventually, but not (by me) anytime too soon since it 
will require changes to the NETWM window manager hints to be more 
Xinerama-ready.
