Looks fixed in pre-3.1 HEAD -- the garbage collector gets run during 
allocations if needed, too. Chances are, was OK in 3.0.x as well, if not 
earlier

has caused the attached bug report to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration

kdeinit slowly chews up memory until it hogs the lot.  This was repeatable on another sysem running kde 2.1 on Mandrake 7.2

PS some encouragment - I love KDE and use konqueror all the time now.  Keep up the good work
