As the icons are configurable we can't rely on correctly sized images. 
What if the user selects some custom icons which have bad sizes?

I'd like to know if this is a Qt problem or a problem of our own paiting 
code (in KFolder) which we use to get the blue number of unread 
messages. If it's no Qt problem then we have to duplicate the Qt code.

Another solution (which would probably cause unpleasant flickering) 
would be to force a complete repaint of the folder tree whenever the 
number of unread messages for a folder changes from 0 to not 0, or vice 
versa.
