Known problem due to the WYSIWYG implementation which currently requires loading big fonts - \
when Xft isn't used. Recompile Qt with Xft support, and make sure the RENDER extension is \
available. Then the initial font stuff will happen much faster, since Xft doesn't need to \
actually load a font to get its metrics.

When starting Kword and opening a new document, the GUI locks up for about 15 seconds. I am \
unable to do anything.

There is a progress bar that shows 15% for a while, then jumps ahead and one or two things \
(like selecting another window) will happen. Then the GUI becomes unresponsive for another few \
seconds.

My system is a dual PIII at 450Mhz with 768Megs RAM. This is he only app I've ever tried that \
locks up the GUI.
