Subject: Bug#46706: GUI Unresponsive, CPU pegged during first execution.
From: rountree () san ! rr ! com
Date: 2002-08-20 20:16:07
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: knode
Version: 0.7.1 (using KDE 3.0.3 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake Linux 8.2 2.96-0.76mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18
OS/Compiler notes:
Upgraded from the kde version supplied with Mandrake 8.2 to kde 3.0.3, using Mandrake \
supplied (and unsupported?) binaries.
The first time I executed the new KNode, the CPU spiked and the screen became \
unresponsive any time I tried to resize a window. Resizing finished 5-10 seconds \
after I let go of the mouse. This went on long past the time it usually takes to \
update the newsgroups. Shutting down knode and restarting made the problem go away.
Don't you hate that? ;-)
Good luck!
