A friend of mine already posted this bug, and it is fixed in the HEAD
branch. See bug report #43048. It also seems fixed on my checkout of
KDE_3_0_BRANCH from yesterday (11 June 2002).

As to the other questions, the page is generated by a source code
documentation program. Also, I find that the best way to get the W3C
validator to check it is to first save it to your local computer, then
upload it to them manually. Yes, the page has a number of flaws, but
none that should cause excessive rendering.

I also have the page on a local server on my subnet. The slowless
remains with KDE 3.0, seemingly independent of the server's ability to
move the file. It loads just fine on my KDE_3_0_BRANCH checked out
yesterday, no delay at all, and as reported in bug report #43048, the
HEAD branch is fixed now as well.
