Using KDE 3 (cvs build yesterday evening) using Save as ...
kde 3
sftp: -> 'The process for sftp://..... protocol died unexpectedly'
and I find 0 bytes written on remote host
kde 2.2.2
fish -> 'Could not change permisson of 'fish://....'. (well that's
a fish problem not of the file or dir). Result 0 bytes
written mode 644.
kde 2.2.2 & 3:
ftp: -> does not(!) complain, looks like success, on remote host only
the infamous 1220448 are written.
In KDE 3 I've also opened ~/Desktop in konqueror, RMB on JB....doc -> Copy to -> Browse
and copied to ~/home and this works. Tried Copy to -> Browse ftp:// and got error
'You can only select local files' Strange. Looks like lot of polishing for 3.1.

Copy att via D&D to
KDE 3 KDE 2.2.2
~/Desktop okay okay
konqueror window:
sftp: okay
fish: okay (well with 50kB/s on 100MB switch ethernet :)
ftp: okay okay
Sad but true, with 2.1 kmail had problem with D&D and I teach my users and
me to use 'Save as...'. Now U turn please ;)

To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is
a koan. Profound to the user, unintelligible to the uninitiated.
You discover truth everytime you use it.
