Package: kdesktop
Version: KDE 2.9.2 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 2.95
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: suse 7.2

Hi,

this bug is in rc2 tarballs, im sorry, i've no time to check if it is still there...

on the desktop, do RMB -> create new -> text file -> ENTER.
you got a new empty file on the desktop.
right click on the file -> delete -> click delete when asked.

the file is actually gone from the KDesktop dir im my home, but the icon on the \
desktop is still there. i can even drag it around. a second attempt to delete it the \
same way gives an error, the file is not there.

when i do create a new html-file the same way,
the text file icon disappears, when the html file icon appears.

i consider this a bug.
