Subject: Bug#37730: kicker on side is placed wrong
From: mmh () gmx ! net
Date: 2002-02-01 10:38:43
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kicker
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 2.9.0 2 (3.0 beta2))
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.16-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:
I use the following kicker placement:
> k
> k
> k
> k
> k
> Kwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
-----------------
Where k kicker is the panel, K the Kmenu and w the external window bar.
If I restart kde I get the following
> k
> k
> k
> k
> K
> wwwwwwwwwwwwwww
-----------------
Notice how the K menue is no longer in the corner but above the window bar. The \
reason seems to be that the window bar loads first and is placed first. Adjusting the \
positions manually works.
Solution: Place kicker panel first at all times and then the external bars to ensure \
right positions
