Subject: Bug#37714: reposting messages difficult to do well
From: judson () irev2 ! com
Date: 2002-01-31 22:10:53
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kmail
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: gcc 2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
As part of my duties, I review the failed emails that come through my ISP, and sometimes try to fix \
typo'd email addresses. The trouble is, redirecting replaces the Reply-To headers, which means that \
suddenly I'm in the middle of a conversation that I was trying to help along. I need either:
Outgoing filters to strip off the Reply-To header that KMail adds
OR
Redirect to leave the headers exactly as they were, even if it means masquerading as the original sender.
