/usr/sbin/sendmail
with options: -bd -q30m om

Yes.
I checked the sendmail settings, and the only thing I could find was that in 
/etc/rc.config, the FROM_HEADER (header used for news posts and e-mail) was 
set to "brose.sbronner.com" (the FQHN).  My understanding is that this should 
be used in the event that a message does not include a hostname in its "from" 
header.  In any event, I changed that to "sbronner.com" and my e-mails are 
now arriving with the correct sender address.  But what I still don't 
understand is why KMail is successful at overriding that for domains such as 
"flex.com" but not for the domain "sbronner.com"
