I tried this already before I sent the bug report and I mentioned this fact there-in:
"Changing the hiding delay doesn't change anything."
Now I tried 3 seconds and found the same behaviour.

But now I found a way to reproduce the bug! The problem seems to be related to the new
resize feature. Try this:

 - set the delay to 1 second
 - enter kicker making it pop up
 - leave it again
 - before the delay has emerged and kicker starts to hide:
   enter the "resize zone" and wait a second
 - leave kicker

Now kicker hangs!
