Package: kxkb
Version: KDE 2.9.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
after setting the Arabic Keymap, and symbol ( in $XDIR/lib/X11/xkb/symbols) \
and setting every xfree86 file .. the AR symbol for the Arabic language \
Appear in kxkb control module .. and adding the Arabic keyboard works fine \
.. but I need to be holding the right ALT key to enter in Arabic even when \
I am selecting the Arabic keyboard. The fix ( I guess I know it) is to add \
this line to the kdebase/kxkb/rules.cpp file : rules.cpp, line 132
{ "ar", "ISO8859-6",1 },
it will make the kxkb take take the ar keyboard symbol and make it \
possible to input in arabic without the use of the ALT key.
