I'm still unable to determine if this  is a KDE2.2.1 or X4.1.0 crash.   On two different systems, I've suffered crashes where KDE & X crash.  Everytime, it happens as I'm using the system switching around between desktops and windows and left click on some window (usually a konsole).  Still looking for how to enable a core dump for this problem...   Wish I had more information; but better to report what I have so far which is not much...
