Agreed, but isn't that just the reason why the "transitional" HTML
specs do exist?

Huh, there my "backward-compatibility request" is taken too far. My
point is just that Konqueror actually displays an HTML anchor the
same way it displays a link, and AFAIK this should not be the case.

I like hovers over anchors, that's just why I use them. It's a nice
(IMHO!) effect to emphasize links (yep, links, not anchors ;-)

I completely agree with you! And still, there's a difference between
"not correctly displaying allowed HTML code" and a broken browser.
I'm using Konqueror as a web browser, and this means still 99% HTML
and much less XML, XHMTL etc.
