when opening a .ps-file that was generated e.g. by latex and that repeatedly started \
renumbering pages (eg preface numbers I-V, then normal text pages 1-50 and then \
appendix numbering i-viii), the page numbers in the direct page access list are \
wrong. in the example above, kghostview calls I-V of the preface (correctly) 1-5 then \
it continues with text page 1 enumerated as kghostview page 6,.... this makes the it \
virtually impossible to select the correct pages in the page list. ghostview displays \
the correct page numbers.
