Subject: Bug#31914: APM suspend only after changing value in control center

Hi

I had the same problem with both KDE 2.2.0 and 2.2.1
(and APM didn't work correctly with 2.1 either, maybe
for the same reason). It seems that klaptopdaemon is
started only after changing the value in the control
center. After the change everything works fine. But
after the next boot, klaptopdaemon doesn't start -
and automatic suspend doesn't work anymore.

My workaround is as follows:
Choose "Energy Control/Battery Supervision" and
choose "Show Battery Display" (well, I don't know
how it's exactly called in the English version, in
German it's: "Einstellungen/Energiekontrolle/Batterieüberwachung"
and "Batterieanzeige einblenden").

While the battery symbol does not make much sense on
a desktop computer, at least klaptopdaemon starts up
automatically now after each boot and APM works.

Bye,
Thomas
