Solved.
Caused by an automatic variable - KAboutData - going out of scope but
KApplication still had a pointer to it. D'oh!
Right. I can carry on now...

Yes, you're right - it just gets called once now.
The only thing I can think of is to see if the same code works when it's not
linked against C#.
