I don't see it that way. There shouldn't be an issue of dishing it out
or taking it as long as the discussion remains focused on the work.

This is something that you must learn as an engineer that criticism of
your work is not personal criticism. Part of this is being sure that
you criticize the work and not the person.

Unfortunately, I have run into many people that do not make this very
important distinction. So, if you tell them what you think needs
improving in their work, they take it as a personal insult. We are
never going to get anywhere with that mindset.

I spent many evenings while a junior in college waiting for a printout
and telling freshman programmers exactly what was wrong with their
program. None of them took it as an insult because that is exactly the
help that they needed.

So, "pinheiro" doesn't want my help with artwork. And the Oxygen group
needs some technical help. It is impossible to work with "jpetso".
Every issue I found while working on the renaming of the old icons and
bring up, he argues against my ideas but there is no resolution of any
of the issues -- odd how nothing was done till I brought the issues up.
So, I have given up on the renaming of the old icons. It is clear
that there is a "Help NOT Wanted" sign here and it doesn't just apply to
me. So, I guess I will give up on artwork.
