Would there be any objection to me putting this in CVS and moving the
current camera icon to be called video-camera.

There are problems with this icon as outlined by Kenneth, but no more
than with the current (video) camera icon.  And most cameras attached
to computers arn't video cameras.  It's also 3d like all the other
device icons and unlike the existing camera icon.
