I remember a version some time ago with a lot of blue, it was very dull. 
Compared, orange looks better :-) Still, it is quite hard to get a good 
balance with orange, as this discussion shows. I would start with white, then 
play with some color elements. It's not a color that does it, it's the 
balance. Orange fi, like red, has a strong presence, soon it is too much. You 
probably can not substitute colors like that, since some have a stronger 
presence than others. A thin red line often looks good, a thin orange line 
may be to feeble...
