Artists,

There is a policy around regarding the licenses that can be used. The idea 
around here was to give contributions (more personal icon sets, backgrounds, 
etc) more freedom in choosing licenses. On the other hand, if they comply to 
the policy too, that would be good too, for reasons of consistency and 
clarity.

3) Source files that are part of a library in kdelibs must be licensed
under the terms of any of the following licenses:

  *) LGPL as listed in kdelibs/COPYING.LIB
  *) BSD license as listed below.
  *) X11 license as listed below.

4) Any other source files must be licensed under the terms of one of the
licenses listed under 3) or any of the following licenses:

  *) GPL as listed in kdelibs/COPYING
  *) QPL as listed below.
  *) MIT license as listed below.
  *) Artistic license as listed below.

Where Artistic should be the clarified one, imho. That makes 7 licenses to 
choose from for the contributions. Would this be to limiting? I remember 
antialias wanting to use his own license...

All this is for things in cvs, not the kde-look department. Would it be OK to 
limit cvs to the 7 licenses?
